Anatoly Slivko: The Fetichist of Death
Anatoly Slivko was a serial killer, pedophile and leader of a boy scout club who between 1964 and 1985, he murdered 7 boys of your club with ages between 11 and 15 years-old. Having been sentenced to death in 1986 and executed with a shot to the head in 1989.
Born on December 28th, 1938 in the city of Izberbash, known today as the Republic of Daguestan, former Soviet Union. Anatoly Yemelianovich Slivko was a quiet and lonely kid who never liked other children’s noisy games and what he like to do in his spare time, slaughter rabbits in his backyard of your family. In addition to having sleeping problems, lack of appetite, insecurity with their appearance and had a great deal of trouble getting along with girls, because of your shyness and something inside him could not make him maintain prolonged relationship with them.
During his puberty, he found out he was homossexual, something he was ashamed of and kept it secret from everyone. In his early adulthood, he was drafted into the soviet army in 1959, after failing to enter Moscow University. Traveling to the eastern side of Russia, where he may have an experience he changed his life forever.
On a summer afternoon in 1961, Anatoly witnessed an accident where a motorcyclist collided with several pedestrians in the street, fatallly injuring a teenager, who was wearing the Young Pioneer uniform (Russian equivalent of Boy Scouts). Initially he was startled by the scene like everyone else that minute, he can feel the smell of gasoline dropping in the motorcycle, as well as the small fire that started from collision. But suddenly, he was intrigued by something he can never explain, instead of feeling sadness or pity for the injured boy he felt sexually excited. He would then revive this fantasy in the next 22 years.
In 1963, Anatoly enter in a Young Pioneer called “Romantik” where he started to form closer relationships with some of the boys in the club, he was respected in your area and will win awards for some of his documentaries about Nazi atrocities in the Soviet Union. Slivko for knowing the forest regions well, he was the responsible for hiking with the children of his club, the boys were happy to join him on any adventure he could throw at them.
Desperately wanted to revive your fantasy, Anatoly set the stage for his first experiment as he would later call it. He conviced a boy that he conducted a controlled suspension of unconsciousness, telling the boy that it was a necessary procedure to stretch the boy’s spine and make him taller. So the boy spontaneously put a rope around his neck that was tied by a tree, Anatoly removed the bench below him, making him unconscious, the man put the body of the boy on the ground and starts to masturbate, ejaculating on the shoes of the boy. Fortunately the boy regained consciousness, but he couldn’t remember anything.
Anatoly killed his first victim on June 2nd, 1964, and bizarrely, filmed and photographed the event from the start to end. He hanged a 15 years-old boy called Nikolay Dobryshev who was convicted to participate in a experiment where Anatoly was studying about human limits, the boy accept to invite in this experiment. Once the boy lost his conciousness, Anatoly took off the noose and put the body of the child in a suggestive position that he found sexually arousing, so he masturbated over him while caressing the boy. This time the boy didn’t wake up and Anatoly couldn’t revive him, he suffocated during the experiment. So he dismembered the boy’s body, burned it and threw it into the Kuban River. He kept the victim’s shoes as a souvenir, a trophy, but destroyed the film and photos he had taken.
In May 17th, 1965, Anatoly chose and kill his second victim, Alexei Kovalenko, a 15 years-old boy who was invited by Slivko in a experiment which where took the same end as Nikolay. He was dismembered, burned it and in this case, he buried the body on the forest taking the shoes as a trophy and the photos and the film he had taken.
Anatoly began dating a woman from his work named Lyudmilla, where they were married in 1967 after two years of dating. He was succumbed to his mother’s insistence of his lonely love life without any woman to create a family with him. The couple had two sons: Igor and Zhenya, born in 1971 and 1975 respectively. During the wedding, Slivko and Lyudmilla had only 10 sexual relations and being over his sexual life with his wife after the born of the youngest son. He told more later he was never feel sexually sastified with his wife keeping the marriage for 18 years.
In 1966, the club he was ended up on fire and Anatoly ended up creating another club in the same year called Chergid and it would be eight years later that we would again make a new victim of his deadly experiments.
In November 14th, 1973 a 15 years-old young boy scouter called Alexander Nesmeyanov was mysteriously. He was a member of Chergid and Anatoly take him to invite on his experiences that we never came home again. The investigation starts about the boy over the months and Sasha’s mother came even traveled through the Soviet Union to try to find her missing son. The investigation came to have 200 members of Chergid looking for the boy in the region. However nothing had been found on the missing and the case was over with no solutions about the destiny of Nesmeyanov. Anatoly bring a photo of the boys to the police in a try to find the boy.
In the winter of 1975, the police was reported about a man who told kill the boy and informed to the localization of body in the Kuban River through a complaint, however they discover the complaint was a fake and the case has again being over.
In May 11th, 1975 a 11 years-old boy scout called Andrei Pogosyan mysteriously vanished in Nevinnomyssk, he was a member of Chergid. The mother of boy told to the police his son was making a season film with a man on a local forest which took a swinsuit to that footage and the authorities did not searching about the mysterious filmmaker which took the boy, his name is Anatoly Slivko, who made movies and documentaries about the atrocities of Nazi in the Soviet Union and win awards about these theme in your free time.
The only thing that the police found was the backpack of the boy found on the woods and the bottom of the clothes of boy around the old buildings of that local, believing Pogasyan was dead by an accident, but the autorithies did not found the body and the case was closed with no leads to investigate. Anatoly participated in the investigation of the boy in the region, bringing a photography of the boy to the authorities, but with no suspicious about him at the time and the life was continued in the Chergid.
In 1977, Anatoly was awared by the prize of Honored Teacher by RSFRS (despite never having a pedagogical training). In this year, he became deputy of Nevinnomyssk City Council. This award was given to him, illegaly, many considered the honor to be something he deserved. Something that later turned against him in the form of nightmare.
The reason Slivko’s crimes have long period between then is, according to criminologist, to the fact that he knew very well how to control his sexual urges and knew how to put a moral mind in a front of a child, but due to an absence of sex life in his marriage, that “connected” him to that bloody and grosteque image where a boy from accident made him plan a new lethal experiment.
In June of 1980, Sergey Fatiev, a 13 years-old boy disappear without a trace, he was a member of Chergid. There were searches for the boy in the region and nothing was found and the case was closed without a clue. As in the case of Nesmeyanov and Pogosyan, Anatoly brought a photo of the missing boy and the case was closed without a clue.
In April of 1982, another boy scout of club was disappeared his name was Vyacheslav “Slava” Khovistik, a 15 years-old, where was the same process in the previous disappearances and without any leads, he ended up closed months later.
In July 23th, 1985 Anatoly would kill his last victim, a 13 years-old boy called Sergey Pavlov who disappear after telling a neighbor that he was going to meet the leader of Chergid. In november of that year, the prosecutor Tamara Langueva investigating the Sergey’s disappearance took an interest for the club’s activities, however she had no proof that there was anything illegal about the way the club was run. The prosecutor interrogated many of the boys who went to the club and some of them said they had suffered temporary amnesia and Anatoly Slivko had experimented with them. What was not reported among club activities, this fact started a long journey that needed many authorizations for further investigations in the club, but without Anatoly who controlled everything knowing.
Finally, of the possessions that allowed authorizations to search the entire club, in the midst of investigations, the police found a dark room that belonged to Anatoly and they discovered the truth about the well-respected man in the community. His tools: the rope, saws, axes and shoes were among the photos and videos he will keep for 22 years. In that same day, Anatoly Slivko was arrested and accused of seven homicides, seven accusations of sexual abuse and necrophilia.
Between January and February of 1986, he took the investigator the localization of six bodies of his victims, as is was unable to locate the body of the first victim. In June of the same year, he was sentenced to death. Before of his execution, he help the police in arresting Andrei Chikatilo by describing the mind of a killer and just a few hours after being interviewed by the police in September 16th, 1989 Anatoly Slivko was being executed by a shot on his head three years after his sentence.
